Sascha's 527 Café has very quickly become a Baltimore treasure. Located in a glorious 19th Century Mt. Vernon townhouse, the look is stunning. Draped by ten foot, deep red velvet theatrical curtains, as you enter from Charles St, you are immediately treated to an eye opening specter of dramatic proportions. Towering 16 foot ceilings, supported by 16 ft marbleized columns, a turn of the century crystal chandelier, warm and sensual lighting and a theme of gold and red colors that take the space and make a sizzle.
Described by Style Magazine as "drop dead sexy", that's only the beginning. We don't just feed you. We make you feel good.
From the look, the feel, the sound, the service, and yes, the wonderfully creative and deliciously tasteful food, Sascha's makes you smile the whole time you're here, and promising to come back as you're leaving.
Our food can best be described as creative American, with global touches from Asia to France, and Morocco in between. Along with grilled and sautéed entrees, we feature our own "taste plates", a smart way to sample a variety of tastes as an alternative to a single entrée. We've taken the tapas concept and tailored it to a Sascha's specialty. If green's where you want to be, you'll find the most original, abundant salads this side of the West Coast. Try a "Mental Greens" with apples, walnuts, frizzled leeks and beans over mixed greens. Grilled sandwiches and pizzas are available, along with a variety of sumptuous homemade desserts.
We feature a finely tuned wine list, not too large too overwhelm and not too pricey to shock. Selections you might not find everywhere, with comfortable prices and nicely pared with our menu.
Treat yourself to a night out at Sascha's. We'll be waiting.
